Paddington has a rich, varied and colourful history. It originally evolved as a transport hub, firstly through canals and latterly by rail. Paddington is also famous, of course, for Michael Bond’s marmalade-loving bear. Over the years, the area has undergone numerous transformations and another is presently underway.
